Experimental and numerical investigation of the deformation behaviour of cables and thin beam-like structures under multi-axial loading

چکیده

In various applications, it is common to use thin beam-like structures, made of plastic or fibre-reinforced materials, as well components such cables. They are flexible, and the most form deformation bending, but they can also be stretched torqued. Due their structural composition, a coupling between different loading directions exists. This especially pronounced for cables, where interact with each other kinematics component different. Thus, characterise these necessary consider tension, torsion, three load cases. this work, characterisations performed polyvinyl chloride rod, carbon coaxial cable. The materials represent isotropic anisotropic material classes include homogeneous non-homogeneous cross-sections. An elasto-plastic model implemented in finite element method behaviour structures. includes plasticity so that effects modelled large deformations. Thin structures discretised higher-order elements, comparison experimental simulation results presented.
